Wow another Christmas almost under our belt. Last night I watched a good History Channel show on the History of Christmas and where the current customs come from and what Christmas was before the 19th Century. It was really quite interesting. Like did you know that Christ-Mass celebrations held on December 25 were banned according to Puritan Law? And that the early Christians or Pilgrims actually did not celebrate Christmas? I did not know that.
Those crazy Christians. They are afraid of everything and tolerant of nothing. Its a shame really because I completely contribute the non-advancement of our society for almost a thousand years directly to them. Think about it for a second. Look at the Roman and Greek Empires. Both of them were more advanced than any society up until around the 18th Century. They had possibly some of the greatest thinkers of all time. They had plumbing, not like what we have, but yes they did have it. Recently archeolists have been finding more and more highly developed gear driven machines. In which researchers call them closer to computers. And most of all that knowledge that was developed before Christ, and a few hundred years after until Christianity became the dominate religion of the world has been lost due to wars the Christians started. Then suddenly it was like the world stopped thinking!! What happened. Christians called it heresy to think on your own outside of the church. So anything that was differant according to their way of thinking was called Demonic, or Satanistical, or just plain erraticated. In what is now known as the Dark ages! Hmmm associate the rise of Christianity with the Dark Ages. Something to wonder about.
I just always have to think about why Christians are always at the center of almost every darkest hour this world has ever had. Just think about what this world would have done had it been able to think freely like it had been able to before Christ came around. I personally believe we would be atleast five hundred years more advanced. Now dont get me wrong. I do believe Jesus existed. I believe he was a great Prophet, and was able to perform some amazing miracles. Miracles in which I believe everyone of us has the capabilitie to perform. If we open ourselves up to it and found the door to the part of the mind and soul that is capable of such things. I just believe that his intentions and teachings were widely misinterprited. As witnessed by the Christian religions of today. Not to say they all have it wrong, just the extremists.
Wow between my last two posts you would almost think I am athiest. Hmm Maybe I haven’t figured it out myself yet. I do have a standing theory that all religion really is, is a means to achieve a higher state of conciousness, through the teachings of good morals, ethics, and life lessons. In which a person must be able to freely think and develop on his or her own.

I have to write on this topic. My wife will tell you that I am not the most tolerant person and I suppose I am not. And I can be pretty oppinionated and bull headed at times. But I will always listen and atleast look at the evidence that supports what you have to say. Even if I believe you are wrong and your evidence is crap.
I just dont understand poeple that just completely shut down when confronted. And worse they will actually start making personal attacks and flying off in tangents that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. I dont mean for this to be a generalization, but it sure seems this way, is that ussually those poeple are so-called Christians. I have spoken to atleast 6-8 so-called Christians in the last few weeks that have all had the exact same reaction to certian ideologies. What gets me is they wont even listen to what you have to say. If you dont think the way they think you are just automatically a Satanist. It doesn’t matter, you could tell them the Garbage Disposal spins left, and if they believe it spins right, you are Satanic Cultist, or Wiccanist(My Favorite, if they knew what a Wiccan Practioner actually is they wouldn’t group them with Satanic Cult’s) or you have the Demon in you.
What really kills me is typically it seems these are the most hateful poeple I have ever met. They are the quickest to Judge or pass judgement (even though their bible tells them not to) and just generally are more wicked. I know a few Wiccan practicioners. And I gotta tell ya, just from the life these poeple lead compared to alot of “Christians” if I was God I would let them in before any self proclaimed Christian. The hate in this world is out of control. And my personal belief it is because of all the Religious Extremists in all religions not just Islam or Christians, even though they are the ones that ussually start the wars first it seems. You will never see a Wicca starting a war. Namely because they are to concerned about the damage it will do not to the poeple they wage war on but the part of the earth they wage war on.
As far as I am concerned they are all just a bunch of illadvised poeple acting on the brain washing of their so called Bible(which actually teaches peace and tolerance not war and hate)For me the Bible is the greatest piece of Fiction literature based on actual historical accounts ever written.
Anways that is my 2 cents worth today. Just had to get that off of my chest.
Sorry its been a while since I have posted. I really need to get a bit more regular about this. So I guess a bit of an update.
Nothing really new happening. My life for the most part is actually pretty boring. Over the weekend I finally cleaned my closet(Much to my wifes happiness). I was extremelly suprised at the crap that one can accumelate over the course of just three years. I hauled FIVE trash bags of clothes and just general junk out of my closet. And that is just one room. We have an entire house yet to clean out and get ready for sale. I am excited about moving back home, just not excited about the physical part of it. I hate moving. But we are getting an early start on things and trying to move a little bit every time we go back home. So hopefully the final move wont be so terrible.
I also started the yearly ritual of cooking a TON of Bananna Bread for my family. I love my Grandmother Bananna Bread and the holiday season just doesn’t seem right with out it. Every year I get closer and closer to the right recipe. Unfortunatly before my Grandmother passed away nobody had an exact recipe of it. As grandmother really didn’t know either. She just mixed the ingrediants and it just came out right. The recipe that she wrote down was an approximation of what is in it. I believe I am the closest to the actual recipe, but out of all the family that is preparing their own bread they also believe they are the closest. Which is actually sorta fun. Because now instead of one person sending out Bananna we have alteast three poeple that are making thier own intrepitation of it. So we get to sample all differant kinds. One of these years somebody is going to actually hit upon it and the entire family is going to break down simultanously at one time crying. Johnsons all over the country balling thier eyes out as they eat Bananna Bread. LOL Should be interesting. Anywhoo sorry thats it for now. No pictures or cool links for you to click on.
