Jon Schooler

Yellow Flowervase

Yellow Flowervase

I just discovered another WONDERFUL artist! His name is Jon Schooler and he has a studio in New Orleans. I’m trying to find out more about his process. It is some sort of screen printing process I believe. I was fortunate enough to see a large print of one of his paintings, and the image above just does not do his artwork justice! It is super cool! It looks almost like different colors of sand swirled together.

Ummm… I’m not sure how to put a link in here yet, but I have a link to his website on the right hand side. From his site, you can get to his blog which has many more examples of his work.

Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival

First I want to say thank you to everyone that stopped by our booth to check out Mary, Clint, and Justins work.  We really had a great time talking with everyone.  And thanks to everyone who made purchases.  I cant tell you how much it means to us, to know that people really are enjoying our work.  I have to say it was fantastic seeing peoples faces light up when seeing all the great art we had available.  It really is a feeling of pride that is undescribable.  And I have to say as Mary’s husband I cant express the amount of pride I have for Mary.  We are already looking forward to more festivals and Art Fairs.  While we didn’t sell as much as we would have liked, the response to her work as well as Clints and Justins was completely awsome.

So as you can tell the weekend was very productive.  We really learned a lot in seeing what of Mary’s pieces got the most attention.  Mary is already talking and thinking about ideas for pieces.  Thank you to all for the inspiration.  We also learned a lot about setting up for these things and what to do and what NOT to do.  Like make sure you have some sort of tent to take shelter in.  After saturday I think we were all done for.  The heat had taken its toll on us, Anna got sick, and the sun burns were bad.  We really need a cash register of some sort, and some secure wind proof ways of displaying the art; OH and plenty of rest.

Some things to look forward to are comming up.  We are planning an Auction for some time next year.  More details on that to be announced.  I am working on a redesign on the web site.  The Blog is going to stay, however we would like her page to look more professional and artistic.  With Mary being both a designer and an Artist we should have something reflects her.  Mary’s next show will be Gulf Shores, AL at SOHO Design studio in November.  More details on that as it comes available.  The show in Novemeber is still sorta up in the air in the fact of whether it will be in November or January.

So agian Thank You to everyone that showed up this weekend and stopped to talk with us.

Baby Orange Tree

Another one of my favorites.  Its just fun to look at for me.

Alone in the Myst.

This is “Alone in the Myst”.  I love this one because I can feel the emotion coming from this.  For those of you that know Mary will understand when I say this.  I feel the frustration that she has from certain  circumstances and for me it makes her work that much more beautiful.

This is a print that will be available very shortly.  We are working on getting all of Mary’s work turned into high quality image’s so we can make some high quality prints on canvas.  It’s taking a bit longer then expected, but doing something “well” never is easy or quick.  But I thought I would pop this one up to see what reactions are to it.  So please comment and tell us what you think.

And like I said all of her work will be available as prints very shortly.  If you are interested in the original email either Mary or I.
